Avalon School students and faculty celebrated Lent and Ash Wednesday on February 18 in Glastonbury Hall which had been recently remodeled.
Father Roberto led mass and offered the Eucharist and Ashes to both the lower and upper school.
Remodeling started on February 2, after the First Baptist Church decided that it needed more space and other renovations such as new carpet and chairs.
“I really love the new look, all the renovations look fabulous,” said junior Jaxson Quintero.
Glastonbury Hall is one of Avalon’s main venues and has housed the poetry competitions for many years and it also holds events such as signing day for Avalon sports, and open houses.
The First Baptist Church shares Avalon’s Glastonbury Hall for their church services, baptisms and other church related activities.
Glastonbury hall will continue to hold all of Avalon’s events throughout the course of the year.
