Students Brave Weather Conditions at March For Life Rally

By Luis Maldonado

January 21 – Several Avalon School students participated in the annual March for Life rally in Washington, D.C., Thursday despite the challenging weather conditions.

“The morning mass was [packed],” said junior Matthew Tobin. “The march was fun too, but it was freezing cold.”

It had snowed the day before the march, however last year’s marchers saw more snow on the ground.

Still, despite the snow, the weather conditions didn’t stop anyone from marching as many Pro Life church parishes and groups attended the event from around the world.

Tobin added there were a few groups at the march that sung songs, danced, and said prayers.

Many students were excused from school Thursday morning for the March for Life event.
