The Smith brothers had an emotional last day at The Avalon School Friday as they prepare to leave for Baltimore.
Fin, 2nd grade, Shamus, 3rd grade, and Riley, 6th grade, and their family will move to Baltimore because its closer father’s work.
However, the brothers are not in favor of leaving Avalon. Riley said this is where his friends are, so he wants to stay here.
Still, leaving does have its perks. “Their new house is huge,” said family friend Liam Tobin. “It’s going to be awesome.”
Their departure also leaves a hole in House and recess activities. All three brothers played football during recess and PE as wide receiver and quarterback. Tobin said that they were good players. He added they would miss the three boys.
Along with football, the brothers will also miss playing “fort” and “sticks” with their classmates.
Classmates agreed they will stay in touch with the Smiths. In fact, they may get to see Riley again at Will Hawley’s birthday party.
