Three Avalon School Chinese exchange students traveled to New York City during the Thanksgiving break and stayed there for four days.
For two days the group traveled around famous places in the Big Apple and another two days to shop the exclusive stores on 5th Avenue.
“It’s fun,” said Alex Fu, a junior, who suggested the trip. “Though the things on the 5th Avenue are quite expensive, at least they’re cheaper than they are in China.”
The group rented a driver and a room in a Brooklyn hotel.
“We divided the payments of room in three so it’s not that expensive,” said Shuoyu Lee, a sophomore.
It was the first time in New York for both Lee and Fu but they were led by a veteran junior of the trip.
“The trip was short,” said Tiangao Zhou, a junior. ” I hope I can go to NYC again.”
The group returned to the area the Sunday before classes started again.
