Les Miserable’s Opens At #1

Les Miserable’s came out during Christmas break reaching No.1 in the box office on opening week making $18.2 million.

The PG-13 movie, directed by Tom Hooper, is based off a French novel that takes place during the 19th– century at the time of the French Revolution.

The film features many well-known actors such as Hugh Jackman as Jean Val jean, Russell Crowe as Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Fantine.

The movie focuses around Jean Val jean as he runs away from the Javert for skipping his parole. Jean Val jean starts a new life but his past catches up to him.

A blend of great actors and actresses, along with visionary screenplay and heartwarming music makes this movie a masterpiece.

Composer Claude-Michel Schönberg uses his musical genius to recreate the mystical music from the original play. You will be humming the tune for the rest of the week. Les Miserable’s now holds the record for most sold musical in the world.

This movie is aimed for the more mature audience. Their parents should accompany kids who go.
