Police and fire rescue responded to a fatal hit and run call outside The Avalon School at 1:17am on Dec. 5.
Police promptly arrived at the scene near 211 West Diamond Avenue to discover two twin brothers, age 34, lying victim to what is now being investigated as a homicide.
One was found deceased upon arrival near the the Avalon School’s sign while the other survived and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
The surviving victim reported that he and his brother were given a ride by suspects in a black Honda Civic earlier that morning and were dropped off near the Gaitherstowne Plaza on route 355 and Chestnut Street near IHop.
He later reported that they were hit by the same vehicle.
Shortly after beginning their investigation, police officers located an abandoned black Honda Civic in the Gaitherstowne shopping center with noticeable damage consistent with that of a pedestrian collision.
The Police are following up on leads and newer information has yet to be released regarding details.
The investigation closed The Avalon School for the day.
